02 | Spring 2025 Stream Surveying in Crooked River Watershed (** Register with CRWC**) | April 1 to June 15 | Get in the field with small survey crews this spring as part of an important effort to understand and document habitat restoration potential and beaver activity signs around small basins in the Crooked River watershed. Looing for a commitment for 5 days minimum on the individual dates that work best for your schedule over a 10 week period, to include one training day. | Register at: www.crwc.info/volunteer |
03 | Willow Planting and Basic Fence Maintenance - Prineville, Oregon (Volunteer with Western Beavers) | Saturday, April 12 | Volunteer crews will maintain riparian planting enclosures set to support existing beavers in this stream. |

04 | BDA Maintenance and Willow Planting - Post, Oregon (** 2 Days Available, Register with CRWC**) | Friday, April 18 and Saturday, April 19 (Tentative) | Volunteer crews will be maintaining beaver dam analogue (BDA) structures, vegetation plantings and protective caging along 3.2 miles of stream in Post, Oregon. Activities will include: repair of planting caging, trimming potted plantings from Fall 2024, harvesting and plant cuttings and adding organic matter into existing BDAs (like a beaver!) | Register at: www.crwc.info/volunteer |
05 | Beaver Science in the Ochocos (WBC) | June 20, 21, 22 | Volunteer with Western Beavers Cooperative collecting science in the Ochoco National Forest. Crews will be inventorying beaver dams and monitoring trail cameras at an established beaver complex over the course of 3 days while camping out overnight. |

There are a few ways to volunteer in the field around habitat restoration this Spring, join Western Beavers and the Crooked River Watershed Council for these projects:
- Build Beaver Dam Analogues (BDAs) in Post, November 1st and 2nd
- Willow cutting and planting days around Prineville, November 22nd and 23rd
