WINTER SOLSTICE WEEKEND - DECEMBER 19TH, 2OTH
Come help us rebuild a stretch of creek that we’re preparing, year by year, for a time when beavers can settle, stay, and grow their families. This is hands-on work restoring beaver forage—willow, cottonwood —and giving last year’s plantings the protection they need to survive winter.
What we’ll tackle:
- Friday: Harvesting willow cuttings, caging, and repairing browse protection
- Saturday: Planting cuttings, maintenance on older plantings, patching weak spots, and light site cleanup
- Walkthrough of long-term beaver-readiness plans for this reach
We provide:
Tools, coffee/hot chocolate, chili pot, fire pit
and camp space
You bring: Gloves, warm layers, sturdy boots, and water
