Castor Camp 2025 Logistics

Thank you for registering for camp!

Look for more information from us in the coming weeks as camp planning is underway. In the meantime, here are some details to help with your planning.


Castor Camp - September 12 - 14, 2025
Note that camp will start first thing Friday morning, 9am. Campers are encouraged to arrive the night before to stay overnight at the Robinson Creek campground Thursday evening.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Camping gear, drinking water, rubber boots
  • Your own beverages and meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner except for Friday night, see below).
  • For field visits: Long sleeves, tall rubber boots, and a sturdy stream stick/pole - to help traverse uneven ground, or spot channels/holes ahead.
  • Your own trail cameras if you have them and want to setup with learnings to exchange
  • Sunscreen, bug repellant, snake gators (or long, thick pants)
  • Satellite messenger (cell service is 4.5 miles away)
  • Your signed printout of this waiver (if we don't have it already)


WHAT WE'LL PROVIDE

  • Group campsite at Robinson
  • Friday night meal (vegetarian and chicken options), family-style
  • Shade tent
  • Two burner stove
  • Morning coffee, creamer
  • 5 gallon water jugs
  • Emergency / medical kit
  • A Garmin satellite messenger for emergency messaging

The campground at Robinson Creek is provided by PCCA.
